Wahh! I haven't posted for a long time. Sorry 'bout that. This "schedule" thing isn't really working. Anyway, I am SO happy about Winter Vacation. I might not post as much, but whatever. I will post the day after Christmas, talking about my "phat lewt".
Since I've used cunning, wits, and derring do, I have figured out that I'm getting the next D. Gray-man manga, which is awesome. D.Gray-man, despite its terrible name, is really great. It has the perfect blend of humor and genuinely scary parts. I've decided to reread all of my D. Gray-man books to get ready for the new one.
That's what I'm going to be doing, so toodles.

Unoriginal Title!
Today was: Relaxing
I'm worried about: It's almost Monday! Oh no!
Overall: Tired... So tired...
Man, I am tired. I went to a Modest Mouse show last night, and a Gandalf Murphy show before that. By the time we got home from both shows, it was after midnight. They were both at the top of their game. Gandalf Murphy rocked da house at the Ark. Modest Mouse was... amazing. It was so cool. All of my favorite songs were played, along with a ton I didn't know. I also got a MM hoodie. Yayz.
Man Man stole the show. I had never heard of them before, but they were incredible. They were really loud, and they had the whole audience behind them. They were really energetic and they never stopped. It was like one long song. It was the perfect start to Modest Mouse. Ah... FUN WEEKEND!
In other news, there is a new Featured Video of the Month. As Yurie says, "Kewl, ne?"
Goodbye four readers. I'll see you next week.

Postiness!
Today was: Full of cards
I'm worried about: what my life will be like without Tabula Rasa.
Overall: What's trump again?
*sigh*
So, I forgot to post yesterday, so... oops. My grandparents are over, and there is nothing we like to do more than play cards. We played cards a LOT yesterday, and it's looking like we're going to play a lot more tonight. Dinner is vegetarian chili, so I'm hoping I won't be too gassy. ^_^
Ah, Tabula Rasa. That games looks SO good. It's the perfect blend of mmorpg and shooters. I love the sci-fi theme also. The one problem is that our crappy PC can't handle that much awesomeness in its system. I'm stuck without TR! /cry. In order to be able to play it, I would have to get a super duper ultra mooper computer, like an Alienware computer. The one I'm eyeing is the Area-51 7500. It looks incredible. But that's right, 1400 dollars! O.o Looks like I'm going to have to start saving up my pennies. :(
Other than that sour note, my day has been good. See ya in a week.

Bonus Post!
Yesterday's post wasn't really a post, per se, just a bunch of updates, so I've decided to do a bonus post.
I made a duct tape wallet a few days ago, and it's AWESOEM. I love it. I haven't had a wallet before, so there's that bonus of newness. And then... it's made of duct tape! How cool is that? Entirely duct tape... *happy sigh*
On a slightly worse note, I think I might have a cold. I have a nasty headache, a stuffy nose, and I can't swallow very well. Gah. I automatically typed noes, (as in "OH NOES!") instead of nose... Good thing I caught that.
Halloween was teh awesome. I went Trick or Treating with Yurie and Nika. Nika was a goth, and Yurie was some obscure manga character. I still don't know who she was. We got a ton of lewt, but someone stole my Take 5's. I swear I took like twenty from Nika's house, but when I got home I could only find one, which I promptly ate. Good God I love Take 5's.
Awright, that's all for now!

Updates! Wooooo!
Hi again. I'm going to update every Friday, and have a monthly special called The Featured Video of the Month. November's video is Daft Hands. Go to the bottom of the page and watch it right now.
Back? Good. I've got another new segment, taken from Yurie's blog. I'm going to do something where you have a regular segment when... I... with the... Ugh. I'll just do it. I can't explain it.
Today was: Awesome, because it was the last day of Foreign Languages
Current Mood: Bored
Something I'm Worried about: P.E., which is next quarter. Mesa no good at gym.
See? Wasn't that cool? Huh? Huh? Meh, whatever.
Awright, back with our regularly scheduled programming.

Back... in Purple!
I'm really sorry I haven't been posting. I'm going to change this blog from an "update whenever" schedule to a once a week schedule, since I think I work better under constrictions. Anyway, I've decided to restart, reboot, and generally revamp the blog. The content will still pretty much be the same, basically an online diary with mixed in reviews and such.
On a different note, check out my friend... uh... what's her pen name? Oh yeah, Yurie Kuroki. She is teh awesome. She has a blog about random stuff, and a podcast about guinea pigs. She's really funny. Awright, promotions out of the way.
So, I have some news. As I've said before, I dye my hair a lot. I've done every color that would be good on hair, including red, two kinds of blue, green, pink, and yellow, (accidentally). The only color that I can think of that I haven't done is purple. Today, I set out to right that wrong. I dyed it purple today, and it's pretty purple. Here's a picture.
Oh! I just realized I haven't posted much since school started! It's going really well. I love my class, and I really like my science class. We actually do science, with beakers and chemicals and stuff, as opposed to my old school, where we had a budget of... lessee... 63 cents. Most of the science we did was, in a politically correct manner, was "theoretical". It was fun and all, but it wasn't very hands-on.
So, that's pretty much all that's new. Thanks for checking in, and check out Gra- Yurie's blog.

Back to School
School! School school school school, school school school, school. Back to it. It was a half day today, so I got out at ten fitty fi. (10:55). I met some people that I hadn't seen since second grade, and they're HUEG! My two teachers are Grant and Dever, so I'm calling my "team" The Grant Endeavor. They're both really nice, so that's good. I like the people I'm sitting with also, so that is good too. One bad/ominous things is that we got homework on the first day. A half day too! Luckily it was pretty easy, but still... I've got a lot to learn, like what the heck a planner does, and what I'm supposed to put in it. I just learned what it means to cover your books today too. I would write more, but I've got homework and a shower. Toodles.

Back in the Saddle
Woo, it's been a while. I, uh... kinda forgot about the blog. School starts tomorrow! I'm really nervous, and a li'l excited. I'm kinda ready for it to start, just to get it over with. I have a half day, as well, so that's good. It'll be interesting to see how it goes. People there are crazy friendly. When I had the tour of the building, people started shouting out the doors how they liked my hair. I'm sure there are some bad nuts in it too, there always are, but I hope not too many in my classroom. Alright, that's all for now. All that's left is the anxious waiting, the worst part.

Eddie Izzard

Eddie Izzard is teh funny. Sometimes I listen to him at night when I wake up and can't go back to sleep, so I have to try stifle my laughter, (sometimes unsuccessfully), and I advise you not to do that. You will get funny stares as you burst out laughing on the bus. I own two CDs and have gotten one from the library. Glorious, Definite Article, and Dress to Kill, (Or D2K, as the snazzy kids call it). I like Glorious and D2K a lot more than Definite Article, and I would suggest starting out with Glorious. I have listened to that CD three times in the same day and still find it fresh and funny, catching things I didn't hear/get last time, so it's like a treasure trove, only the treasure is pure unadulterated awesome. The one main thing with DA is that it has a completely bewildering French and Italian part, which, since I don't know either of those languages, went right over my head. Luckily Cake or Death has the translation, and it's really funny. Anywho, listen to Izzard, he's original, quick witted, and above all, funny.

Slanted and CYHSY
I got two CDs from the Library today, Slanted and Enchanted, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. It's been a pretty mixed bag, though. The Pavement CD is really good, my favorite song being Conduit For Sale. I wuvs teh spoken word. I haven't listened to all of it yet, but I like what I hear so far. On the other hand, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is... well... a disappointment, to say the least. I was really expecting a lot out of it, and I thought the actual music was good, but I just could not get over the singer's voice. I don't know what it is about it, but it drives me insane! Just like that Diane Rehm. Usually I can tune anybody out, (a very handy skill at times), but not Rehm. I really wish I could appreciate CYHSY, but I just can't ignore Alec. (I think that's his name). I don't want to be mean or anything, but gahh.

Ratchet and Kitties
So, I noticed something very adorable today. Turns out that the cats like watching the furry little Lombax jumping around the screen and pwning everything in sight by turning them into chickens almost as much as I do. They're mesmerized. I would have taken a picture but I was infiltrating Daxx. ;)
Ratchet and Clank is weird for me. I thought the first one was pretty good, fun but forgettable. I didn't really feel like getting any of the other ones, but I really wanted to get a multiplayer game. I got UYA purely for Multiplayer, but decided to play the campaign through first, to get an idea of how the weapons work. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a lot of fun, with upgrading weapons and stuff, and it makes me want to get Going Commando and Deadlocked. I don't know which one to get first though, as I have a limited income. I'm think about Deadlock, as it has Offline multiplayer too. As I don't have enough money right now, I'm playing through UYA again. Even more fun the second time around! I really love the upgrading of weapons, as it adds some strategy to which weapon to use.
So... Yeah. Toodles

The Borin' Ol' Tomato
I saw the Bourne Ultimatum yesterday, and it was surprisingly good. The first two were mediocre, I thought. It just seemed done so many times. Guy loses memory and has to figure out who he is before big corporation kills 'im. Standard movie fodder. The first two were were moderately well executed, and I think I would have enjoyed it much more if I hadn't already seen it hundreds of times. I guess the third one was like that too, in that it had pretty much the same plot as lots of other books and movies, but for some reason I loved it. I really like the director's choices, like shaky cameras to add to the sense of urgency.
I also really like the theme song by Moby. I hadn't heard of him until now, maybe I'm out of the loop. I haven't listened to any of his other stuff but I think I will soon.
I really want to try to get into NetHack and I keep trying, but something else always distracts me... It seems like I would love Blueberry Boat then. I really want that CD, but It's really hard to find. It's really bizarre, either you really really love them, or you really really hate them. I wonder which side I would fall on. Awright, that's all for now

Panda Monstrosity
So, there is this band called Deerhoof. You might not have heard of them. I didn't until a short while ago. I was rereading QC, (Questionable Content, for those of you who didn't know), and one comic referenced them. I looked them up and found this awesome/awful song. It is teh funny.
-- Warning -- It is highly catchy! If you don't want to have this in your head all day, do not listen.
Also, I just realized how nerdy I am. Rereading webcomics?! I must be crazy. But for QC I will take exception. This has to be my favorite webcomic. It is consistently funny, and it references a lot, (Get this into your heads, people! Not, I repeat, not alot. Two... Words...) of indie culture.
Also also, check out Keepon dancing to Spoon. I love Spoon, and I love cute dancing things! I'm considering whether or not to buy Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. I have Gimme Fiction and it's awesome. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is kind of expensive right now. Maybe I'll wait.
Also Also Also, Pan-da Pan-da Pan-da Pan-da Pan... PAN-DA!

Hair Dying, and Kingdom of Loathing
So, if any of you know me, you know I live to dye my hair. I've done almost all the colors of the rainbow. I've done red; green; yellow, (accidentally); two different kinds of blue, pink, purple-ish, and now I'm gonna do blue again for the start of school. I don't mess around with the temporary stuff. Permanent all the way. I like dying my hair because it sets me apart. That might help especially in my case, switching to a new school. I hope it'll help people remember me. Maybe it will draw away from the fact that I'm short and nerdy. I'm okay with my inner nerd, though. I really wanted to go to Comic-Con this year, so... :)
Awright, second part, Kingdom of Loathing. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically a text MMORPG but what I like about it is that it's really, really funny. It's as much joke as it is game. But don't worry, there's plenty of each to go around. They just had a huge update/revamp so if there was any time to join, now is it because everyone is still figuring everything out, so you won't be too far behind. If you ever want to start, contact Keeko. I've been playing a while, this is just the character I started recently. You can also send a message to Grinkle, I may or may not be on. Really, you should play it. It's free, it doesn't take a lot of time to play, so you can play it during work breaks or whatever. Anywho, send me a message.

Okami
Ok, I know I said in one of my last posts that I wouldn't review stuff, but man, I feel the need to talk about this game. It is incredible! I absolutely love this game. Everything about it is perfect, except for one thing, which I'll get to in a bit. I'm not a professional, obviously, and this is based on one run through. Anyway, here it is:
Gameplay: 10/10 - Great mechanics, and the paintbrush attack moves are really cool. It's a a very neat way to do things, and you can interact with the environment, like cutting down trees and exploding walls.
Graphics: 10/10 - Phenomenal artwork. It really added to the playing experience. Very surreal, does everything you want it to do, and above all, gorgeous.
Story: 10 - 10 - Very good story, with a very epic showdown at the end. To tell the truth I almost cried at one of the ending bits, and I don't cry for sappy things in movies and whatnot. This is the closest I've gotten to crying for a fictional character. So, obviously very involving.
Sound: 6 - 10 - The one part of the game that lets me down. The character's voices are just random gibberish, which is kind of cool at first, but it gets really old and annoying, really quickly.
Value: 10/10 - This game is cheap, and looong. Took me 40ish hours. That's because I'm bad. You get gifts at the end, too, like invincibility and different styles for your character, which are just begging for replays.
Overall: Really the only bad part was the sound, and even that only hampered my experience until I turned the sound off. Really, really great game. If you have a PS2, this is required playing for anybody. Get it, enjoy it. It's awesome. 10/10

Shave and a Haircut, 8-Bit!
Ok Go - Oh No
I recently discovered Ok Go, (I know I'm a little slow to find catch on to stuff), and they're really, really good. I love almost every single song on "Oh No" except for "The House Wins". It's all very bouncy and high energy. I would put it in my top 5 albums. Everyone has heard of "Here It Goes Again", (The Treadmill Song). If you liked that song, imagine a whole album like that. If you didn't like it, well... You would probably like "Oh Lately It's So Quiet" but nothing else. I happen to like both kinds, and oh man. That song is fantastic. I really love that song. So there are lots of people reviewing music out there, so I won't go into detail, but I will say one thing. GET... THIS... ALBUM! There, I said it. No more.
You know you want to buy it!
You know you want to buy it!
Ready for School
So, second post. Yeah, good stuff. It's summer vacation, (or Vay-Kay, as my Mom calls it), and, surprisingly enough, I'm kinda ready to go back to school. I've been going to a private school in Ann Arbor since Third Grade, and now I'm switching to a public school in Dexter. It's been long enough that I only know about three people. It'll be weird, being a pretty big fish in a very small pond, to being a very small fish in a very big pond. I'll have to start all over again, working my way up the "Cool" scale. Supposedly there is ton of homework, which I didn't really have to do that much of in my private school. I'm kinda nerdy, so I don't know how that will work out. But even with all that, I'm ready for school. It'll be a challenge, but I'm ready to take it on.

Welcome!
So... Hi. I'm Keeko, the artist formerly known as, well, Keeko. This is my first blog, (No! Don't go away! I'm not the kind of guy who just posts 'lolol butt'), so bear with me, I'm just figuring this out. I'm Thirteen, (I'm not really helping things, am I?), and I have three cats, Frisky, an eight year old male, and two li'l kittens, Kiki and Bun Bun. They are two of the chunkiest cats I've ever seen. Bun even deserved the title, "The Velveteen Lard". Here's a picture of them.

The black one is Kiki, the gray one is Bun Bun.
Anyway, this blog will be mainly just me talking about what's going on in my life, and websites and books and bands that I like. If you have any suggestions on things I might like, or how I should do the blog differently, please comment! I don't really think that anyone will read this, but if you do stumble upon it, please let me know! This is mostly an experiment and a way to let things out. So, that's all for now. Thanks for reading!

If you have any suggestions on things I might like, or how I should do the blog differently, please comment! I don't really think that anyone will read this, but if you do stumble upon it, please let me know! This is mostly an experiment and a way to let things out. So, that's all for now. Thanks for reading!
